Account Executive – Employee Benefits
Job Description:
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients to foster high retention
- HR (Director, Manager, Administrator)
- CFO, CEO
- Owners/Executives
- Deliver strategic advice and guidance on employee benefits plans
- Manage benefits planning, contract renewals and Open Enrollment for specific clients:
- Assist in the qualification and close of new business opportunities, including preparation and delivery of proposals
- Provide 2nd level support to specific clients or employees on key benefits issues
- Maintain strong relationships with key carrier resources
- Drive specific projects to improve client & employee experience and streamline internal processes
- Advise and assist clients with Compliance and related matters
- Coordinate implementation of wellness programs for key clients
Qualifications:
- Smart, positive, energetic person with the desire to learn, contribute and succeed
- Good working knowledge of employee benefits plans, including renewal cycle, underwriting, and open enrollment dynamics
- 5+ years employee benefits/insurance experience preferred
- B.A./B.S. or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Active CA Life & Health insurance license
- Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Solid technology skills, including MS office platform and related tools
- Strong team player, with good independent work habits
- Proven analytical, process management & math skills

The position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, naturally curious person to join our growing team as an Analyst for both Health Benefits and 401k Retirement Plans. This is a great opportunity for a young person to enter and learn the employee benefits industry, with a clear growth path into more senior positions. Working closely with our team of Senior Consultants and Account Managers, this individual will serve a key role in our efforts to maximize value for clients. The ideal person is flexible to contribute in various ways; thrives in a highly-analytical environment; works well with deadlines; and enjoys working on multiple projects at once.

- Proven verbal and written communication abilities
Primary Functions:
- Actively work as part of the team to deliver accurate, timely, complete projects
- Prepare health benefit quotes, plan comparisons, and cost analysis for existing & new clients
- Assist in the ongoing management and oversight of client 401k plans
- Assist in the implementation of new health benefit and 401k plans
- Create and maintain templates used for cost comparison, analysis and benchmarking
- Assist in crafting high quality, detailed deliverables for current clients
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and related providers
- Assist with internal projects to improve client experience and internal workflows
